Body By La Mer

Hailed as one of the world’s top skin care lines, La Mer was originally developed by a NASA engineer who wanted to restore his skin after an explosion.  Well, sometime later and after much experimenting, something great happened.  Today, La Mer is found in the most exclusive stores and boutiques and caters to some of the most visible people in the world.  During the winter months, our face and hands seem to get the most attention as they are exposed to the elements.  What about the rest of the body?    We ran across a few La Mer items we thought would get your body care needs through any blustery winter season with beautiful results.

The first thing someone sees when they look at you is your eyes then your lips.  A small area, the lips will chap quickly if not protected and will bark the loudest with discomfort when they are chapped and dry.

La Mer stepped up to the dry lip challenge by creating a lip balm with the same great marine ingredients found in the rest of the line.  Application is simple. The light weight balm works into the lips for instant therapy.

The skin on your body craves moisture and nourishment just as the skin on your face.  Just for the body, La Mer created Soin De La Mer.  Yes, it is as good as the facial creams and yes, it is a costly treat.

Truth is, you will not find a more effective and nourishing cream for the body.  It is everything good they say and so much more.  Soin De La Mer is available in a tube or jar, so using this miracle cream is as easy after a good work out as it is after a nice long shower at home.

When you think of being in shape, the skin is often the last thing you think of.  Your skin needs to be nourished just as every other part of the body.  The largest organ of the body breathes and rests like all other organs and needs to be taken care of too!

The Little Boy Who Refused To Cut His Hair

In 1 on December 26, 2009 at 11:31 am

Word is out in the hair industry of a small boy who made a commitment and plans to stick to his word.   He seems to be attracting quite a lot of attention.  Taylor Pugh of Texas was suspended after he refused to cut his hair.  Although his hair is clean and well maintained, the school district is serious about enforcing the rules.  Mesquite School District, where Taylor attends classes, has allowed him to resume an on campus suspension where he remains isolated from the other students.

Why did he want to grow his hair long?  He plans to grow his hair long to donate the locks to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients.  His father also committed to grow out his hair in support of his son after a “pinkie-swear” oath.

Under the circumstances, do you think Taylor should return to school?  Do you think this young man deserves a scholarship to a local private school based on the fact that he is deeply aware of the needs of others?  We know we have a few calls to make!   After all, it takes a smart and compassionate mind to determine the needs of others and at such a tender age.  Hair care companies of the world, we think you have found your next spokes model-Taylor Pugh.  Will someone get this tot a PR agent STAT???  What are your thoughts???

WATER

In 1 on December 26, 2009 at 4:06 am

Did you know the average daily requirement for daily human water intake is between 1.5-2 liters a day?  It is.  Why do we need to drink so much water?

Water consumption is essential for toxin removal from the body.  It is also necessary for cell function, digestion and absorption.

Do you have dry skin?  Is your dry skin hereditary or is dryness caused by your lifestyle?  Do you consume caffeine?  Do you smoke?

How does your skincare perform?  When you place serums or moisturizers on your skin, do they work quickly into skin?  If your answer is yes, then you need to develop a new strategy to combat dry skin.  DRINK MORE WATER!
